Chen Yidan is a Chinese artist who lives in Paris. Chen Yidan was born in the early 80s, into an artistic family in Xi’an. At the age of 18, she came to France pursuing art and started her overseas life independently as an art student. During ten years, she not only studied design, painting,… photography and printmaking in terms of art, but also worked as a farmer, a teacher, a tour guide and even more than ten different jobs far away from art.
Meanwhile, she travelled alone to over twenty countries in East Europe and North Africa. Now she lives in Paris carrying on her artistic creation. The works of Chen Yidan, which are definitely the realistic reflection of her imagination, embody her abundant life experience artistically by means of photography, painting, collage and other different techniques.
